Phillips Milk of Magnesia 83 mg/ml Oral Suspension is indicated for the treatment of constipation. Treatment of conditions resulting from gastroesophageal reflux and hyperacidity such as heartburn, bloating and indigestion.

Active substances: Magnesium hydroxide.

Magnesium Hydroxide is one of the most effective mild laxatives, regulating the intestinal rhythm without irritating the walls of the digestive system. At the same time, due to its adsorbing action, it avoids the disorders caused by fermentation, so frequent in constipation. Simultaneously with its laxative action, Phillips Milk of Magnesia has an antacid action, with an extremely fast onset and great neutralizing power.

Dosage and method of administration:

Oral route. Use a 5 ml spoon or the dosing cap of the container. Do not exceed the maximum recommended daily dose.

As an antacid : Adults (including the elderly) and children aged 12 years and over: 5-15 ml.

If necessary, the dose can be repeated up to a maximum of 60 ml in 24 hours.

Maximum recommended daily dose: 60 ml in 24 hours. Children 2-11 years: 5 ml (one spoonful or the measuring cap filled to the first line).

If necessary, the dose can be repeated up to a maximum of 30 ml in 24 hours. Maximum recommended daily dose: 30 ml in 24 hours. Children under 2 years of age:

According to medical advice. Do not take Phillips Milk of Magnesia as an antacid for more than 14 consecutive days.

As a laxative: Adults (including the elderly) and children aged 12 years and over: 30-45ml at bedtime. Repeat the treatment every night, reducing the dose until the constipation stops.

However, do not take Phillips Milk of Magnesia for more than 3 consecutive days.

Children over 3 years: 5-10 ml at bedtime.

Do not take Phillips Milk of Magnesia for more than 3 consecutive days.

Children under 3 years: According to medical advice.

The intakes can be made with milk or water.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to the active substance(s) or to any of the excipients.
